There is merit to the argument that people who were going to buy the game already don't need to be drawn in by the box art; but quite frankly as a very big fan of the first game I find this excuse pretty insulting.
I've been buying games for years (I'm no stranger to the decline of the physical copy) and the box art is basically the only thing left the developer can give a dedicated purchaser to hold onto these days. I'm not going to be getting a cloth map unless I fork up for a time machine or a limited edition, the former being cheaper in some cases.
Though, sometimes I get the limited edition by mistake because who the hell understands the seven freaking versions every game comes in nowadays. Atrocious box art aside, I look forward to purchasing BioShock Infinite: Glory Battle Enhanced Addition Edition when I hit 88mph.
