So Minecraft gets cats. That's awesome, or less awesome if you're a small bird or perhaps a fish.
I really do love Minecraft and I think it's 100% deserving of the fame and success it's found. It's one of those indie games that manages to transcend the usual trappings of indidom. Rather than saying, "Look at these grand ideas I lacklusterly present." It says, "Look at this pallet for grand ideas you can present." And present them the world has. It's kinda like millions of people discovering an alphabet all their own - and then that alphabet runs up behind them and blows up.
That said, the game has yet to become what I want. And we all know how bloody important that is. More survival! A need to make fires to stay warm! Torches that run out!
